Trapezoidal K Belt for Maxi Scooter

The K BELT technology aimed at racing scooters gives birth to the Malossi trapezoidal toothed belts for MAXI SCOOTERS. K BELTS were created to ensure the highest operating smoothness and reliability by using special compounds and KEVLAR® fibre reinforcing inserts. As shown in the figure, The K BELT design comes from a special arrangement of the fibres within the belt itself:

• To give a higher consistency to the belt's resistance to TRACTION the ultimate strength was calculated in an over-dimensioned situation with respect to normal operation
• To give a higher consistency to the belt's resistance to COMPRESSION, KEVLAR® small bars have been inserted in the belt transversally

Moreover, a special vulcanization technology has been used to compact this fibre and texture aggregate in order to allow K BELT to stand a high thermal and mechanic stress load.
